To connect to a Rackspace database, simply authenticate with your Rackspace API Key and choose your database. Connecting a database has never been easier.
To connect your Rackspace Cloud Database to Chartio, you'll need your Rackspace API key and username. These can be accessed in your Rackspace Control Panel.
Log in to your Rackspace account, click the upper right most menu, which is labeled with your account name. Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.
You'll be taken to the following page showing a hidden API key. Locate your API Key, and click Show to display it. Copy this key (be careful not to include extra spaces), and take note of your username.
In the top navigation menu, click Settings, then select Data Sources from the dropdown.
At the top of your data sources list, click +New Data Source.
From the Databases list, choose Rackspace.
You will be taken to the following form to put in your username and API key, and specify the location of your database instances.
Chartio will retrieve a list of databases associated with your Cloud Tools account. Choose the one you'd like to connect, and you're done.
In both steps, it'll take Chartio a few seconds to connect to your database and retrieve the necessary information.
To connect more than one Rackspace database to Chartio, simply go through this process again and select a new database from the drop down.
