We’re excited to announce that Chartio has achieved the brand new Amazon Redshift Ready designation, just launched this morning by Amazon at its Re:Invent 2019 Global Partner Summit event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

You may already know that Chartio offers robust integration with Amazon Redshift, letting you directly connect your Chartio account to your Amazon Redshift warehouse and easily explore your data using Chartio.

What you may not know is that Chartio is part of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Service Ready Program. Amazon established this program to help customers identify products that integrate with AWS services, so they can spend less time evaluating new tools and more time scaling their use of products that are integrated with AWS Services.

As part of the AWS Service Ready Program, the new “Redshift Ready” label is a recognition that Chartio is an AWS Partner Network (APN) member with a product that successfully integrates with Amazon Redshift and is generally available and fully supported for AWS customers.

Specifically, Amazon has verified that Chartio demonstrates best practices for issues like access management, logging, and auditing; has a documented and tested backup and recovery strategy; and properly explains the nature of its integration with Amazon Redshift and the AWS Cloud on its website, among other requirements.

Achieving AWS Service Ready status shows what a powerful combination Chartio and Redshift make.

While Chartio offers direct, secure connections to dozens of data sourcesincluding Amazon RDS sources, Amazon Athena, and Amazon Aurora—Amazon Redshift regularly ranks among the most frequently connected by Chartio customers.

“Redshift is one of the more popular data warehouses our customers use,” said Dave Fowler, CEO of Chartio. “Achieving AWS Service Ready status shows what a powerful combination Chartio and Redshift make.”

Fowler noted that, for many companies, the ability to explore Amazon Redshift data with Chartio means getting answers faster, which leads to better business decisions.

“Our customers are global businesses headquartered in over 40 different countries. Each of them collects enormous amounts of data and uses Chartio to explore, visualize, and understand their business. Reducing the time it takes to analyze this data and draw meaningful insights is essential for modern businesses.”

Chartio gives us the ability to effortlessly visualize and interact with our multiple data sources, including our Redshift data, all in real time.

That was certainly the case for Trustpilot, an online review community that uses Chartio to unite 5 disparate databases, including Redshift, and let its employees explore data with ease.

“Chartio gives us the ability to effortlessly visualize and interact with our multiple data sources, including our Redshift data, all in real time,” Niklas Stephenson, product manager at Trustpilot, told us in a recent interview.

“We are making more informed decisions faster than ever, because every department is exploring data and answering their own questions.”

Amazon Redshift Ready adds to a growing list of Amazon-related certifications Chartio has achieved. We’ve also been declared an AWS Advanced Technology Partner, with competencies in the categories of Digital Customer Experience and Data & Analytics.

This new status is also just the latest step in Chartio’s quest to meet or exceed best-in-class standards and requirements. Other recent achievements include qualifying for SOC2 Type II certification for security and privacy, earning HIPAA compliance for handling health data, adhering to Privacy Shield Framework rules for transatlantic data protection, and complying with GDPR regulations.
