Hi, my name is Tim and I am your new Data Evangelist. That is a pretty Silicon Valley-ish title and might not mean too much on the face of it, so I want to take a stab at explaining the title and myself to you.
For the past year and a half I’ve worked as a Customer Success Engineer. It is more than possible that I helped you through one of your tickets, helped you build a dashboard or trained you during one of our customer webinars or on-site visits. If none of that rings true, then you’ll simply know me henceforth as your Data Evangelist.
No matter what our first interaction was, know that I’m here to help you.
As a Data Evangelist, one of my main responsibilities is to help convince the world of the importance and the power of data and how to utilize the power of data within an organization so that everyone in your company has the ability to explore and use your data. There is so much that can be learned from powerful exploration of data and Chartio was purposely built to unleash the power of your data within your organization. I will be writing data-driven blog posts regularly on our site and I will be working with our Engineering and Customer Success teams to build out educational tutorials to show how you can use Chartio and SQL to analyze your company’s data.
My second responsibility, that I take to heart, is to help you get your thoughts and concerns in front of the right people so that within our walls, vox populi, vox Dei (the voice of the people is the voice of God) is one of our guiding principles. I also want to help you get the word out to the world how you use Chartio and how we have helped you make data driven and appropriate business decisions quickly and accurately.
