Documentation Data Sources Direct Connection

Connect to MariaDB

Chartio supports connections to MariaDB; however, by default MariaDB may use an outdated authentication method not supported by JDBC connections. You’ll need to update the user’s password to the new version before connecting with Chartio. Please see the documentation regarding old passwords and setting a new password.

  • If your instance is in a VPC, refer to our VPC instructions.
  • If your database is on Amazon RDS, add Chartio to your RDS Security Groups. This will allow our server to connect to your RDS instance.

Otherwise, see our basic connection instructions.
